I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much you've helped me and my husband, Jack. After years of teaching aerobics and doing long distance horse riding, I sure have had my share of aches and pains! Whenever I get an adjustment at your office, I feel like a new woman! I also was really helped by your Laser machine when I broke my wrist a few months ago. It healed much faster than the doctor anticipated, and I am sure it was because of the laser.

I would like to thank the friendly staff and Dr. Gates for relieving my physical pain as well as my mental frustration and my debilitating neck pain. A friend had recommended Gates Chiropractic and their Laser Therapy as a solution. I figured, why not, since nothing else had worked. After a few sessions, I was pleasantly surprised at how the tightness in my neck seemed to be lessening and the pain subsided. It was so nice to resume my everyday life activities and be back with the living!

I was in a car accident in 2009. I have had headaches since then. Since I have had them, I haven't been able to do as much as I did before. I have tried Physical Therapy in the past. Since I have been receiving Laser Therapy from Dr. Gates I get less headaches. I am going back home feeling better. I feel like I am getting better now and having less headaches. I would recommend Laser Therapy to others.

Last fall my wife, grandson, and I were in a rear-ender in our family van. As a result of the accident, it re-ignited severe neck, upper back, and lower back stiffening and pain. The pain was so intense that I could hardly turn my head to look to either side. This made for a miserable day, especially in the morning and late evening.
Over the years, I've visited several Chiropractic offices for the traditional adjustments. Some provided a table with rollers that would run back and forth on my back while I laid on my back with heat being applied.
Dr. Gates introduced me to his Laser Treatment concentrating in the beginning on my upper back and neck with subsequent treatment treating my lower back. At first I was skeptical as the effectiveness of the treatment, however, upon having my first treatment Dr. Gates was able to release tension in my neck on both sides, which has never happened to the extent that he was able to acheive. I was sore afterwards, but after a series of treatments, I began to regain flexibility to my neck and my upper back started to loosen.
My lower back too was in serious condition and with laser treatment of the area of the lower back, I've experienced better movement, though I'm still in need of further treatments.
I would attest to the favorable result I've experienced, which has allowed me to work at my computer, travel, and move around with more ease. I would recommend Dr. Gates Chiropractic Laser Therapy to anyone with lack of mobility and pain discomfort.

I had a cervical trauma December 2009, which was diagnosed as cervical strain and sprain with compression of cervical nerves. I have been in physical therapy for over a year and taking Mobic and Soma. My right arm went numb. I came to Dr. Gates and highly recommend the Laser because treatments took my numbness away when neurologists said that I would be this way for the rest of my life. Also, I got TMJ from this trauma, and the laser is improving this as well which reduces tinnitus. The Laser has improved my quality of life and I thank Dr. Gates for buying it so I might get well.

I had broken my ankle while in the Armed Services which never healed correctly and have been walking with a limp ever since. After several surgeries, I finally had my left ankle fused and now walk with a cane. While dealing with my ankle I found out I have Osteoarthritis in my lower back, and after years of physical therapy, the doctors decided to fuse my lower back. I have been seeing Dr. Gates since 1986 and with his adjustments, it did help with my pain management. In 2010 Dr. Gates asked me to try Laser Therapy. My Chronic back and neck pain is now all gone. I have not been pain free in over 25 years. I recommend Laser Therapy to everyone!

In December 2010, I began to have pain in my left heel, unable to put pressure on it when I walked. Doctors could not give me a diagnosis, but recommended I get treated for Plantar Fascitis. The exercises only made it worse. Now I couldn't put any pressure on it and was walking on the ball of my foot. Doing that created other problems such as pain in m ankle stepping off a curb, or my other foot hurting from favoring it. My activities had to stop, no excercising, no bowling, no taking walks. I wasn't a happy camper.
I met Dr. Gates in March and he recommended a consultation for laser therapy. The next day I called for an appt and he gave me my first treatment on March 12, 2011. During that week I noticed I could put my foot down on the floor with no pain. Yes, just one treatment...It was a miracle! But I still had a ways to go, as my heel was still very swollen and hard to the touch. Every visit took more of the swelling down and tenderness away, making it easier to walk and function in my daily routines. Today is May 18, 2011 and I am free of pain and back to all my activities. I am very grateful to Dr. Gates and would definately recommend Laser Therapy.

I first tried the MLS laser eight days after my back surgery. I had surgery for scoliosis on August 8, 2011. The surgery was complicated because of the S curve and the twist in my back was becoming worse, (I am 61 years old). The surgery was eight hours long with two doctors working on me. They put two titanium rods in my back and multiple screws in every vertebrae except those in my neck. My scar runs down the lenght of my back.
Following my surgery, I had been taking the maximum prescribed dose of oxicodone and yet I was still in excruciating pain. After not sleeping all night (eight days after surgery), I called Dr. Gates' office and left a message begging for help. (I had learned from my son, a medical student at UCD, about the benefits of the MLS laser). Dr. Gates returned my call within minutes, and told me to be at his office when they opened in an hourl. As soon as I arrived, Dr. Gates took me into the laser room, and within less than one minute after he began the treatment, the excruciating pain was gone! I equate it to the hand of God reaching down from heaven! What a miracle! I went home and slept all day and was able to lower my pain killer to 25% of what I had been taking. I kept returning for more laser treatments. After two weeks, I was able to stop all pain killers completely! When I went for my follow-up appointment with my surgeon, he told me he was amazed and pleased with how fast I was recovering. My surgeon told me that I would not be able to function well for six months to one year following my surgery. After only two months, I was walking eight miles and lifting light weights at the fitness center. It has now been five months and I feel great! The scar on my back has improved dramatically.
As an added bonus, Dr. Gates also treated my right knee. My surgeon advised me to walk every day. However, I had pain when I tried to walk; I had been told that I needed an artificial knee because my cartilage was gone. The doctors had given me pain killers for my knee and told me to wait as long as I could, "because knee replacements do not last forever." Dr. Gatesexplained that the MLS laser can regenerate cartilage if there is any cartilage left. After 15 treatments, I am now walking ten miles every day without pain!
As I began to walk more, I started to develop a very deep pain in my buttock. After three days of constant pain, I asked Dr. Gates if the laser could help. After the laser treatment, I got up to leave and noticed that the pain was still there. However, by the time I walked out to my car, the pain was gone and never returned.
Duing my treatments, my 90 year old father fell and broke his femur. Following my father's surgery, Dr. Gates began treating his broken leg. Dr. Gates also treated my father's feet, which had nerve damage from his past hip replacement (for three years my father has been tormented and wakened at night by his feet feeling either too cold or too hot-even though they were neither. The medical doctors he consulted could not help him.) After only four laser treatments, my father's feet felt completely normal! Also, thanks to the laser treatments, my father is now back on the golf course and is walking better than he did before he broke his leg.
The MLS laser has been a gift from GOD, and an answer to our prayers! Furthermore, Dr. Gates is an angel from Heaven! He is not only extremely knowledgeable, but is also ethical and a compassionate man who truly cares about helping others. How very fortunate we are to have this kind of treatment available in our lifetimes - and here- in Roseville!!!
